I believe that effective therapy must include the whole of our experience including body, mind and spirit. Recognizing our beliefs and understanding our behaviors can support change, although for change to persist, we need to embody the experience. It is necessary to be informed by all of our senses along with our minds and our spiritual sense of self for permanent change to occur. Therefore, my work aims to create experiential learning along with cognitive understanding supported by the use of somatic (body awareness) methods and mindfulness practices.

I utilize numerous strategies when working with my clients including cognitive/behavioral approaches for solution focused difficulties, somatic (body awareness) orientation and EMDR (eye movement and desensitization) for trauma and developmental issues.

I am also trained in the use of hypnosis for many life struggles including weight loss and smoking cessation.

I specialize in working with individuals healing from trauma, couples and individuals struggling with intimacy and attachment issues, and families resolving conflict and life transitions.
